Highschool Day

The 124th Foundation Day of Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS) was a memorable celebration that brought together students, teachers, and staff to honor the long history of the school. This special event highlighted the pride and unity of the school community as everyone gathered to celebrate another year of growth, achievements, and shared experiences.

One of the most exciting parts of the celebration was the field demonstration where students from Grade 7 to Grade 11 participated in a lively and colorful dance performance. Each grade level worked hard to practice their choreography, showing coordination, creativity, and teamwork. The field demo was filled with energy and enthusiasm as students performed synchronized movements, creating an impressive display that entertained the audience and showcased the dedication of the participants.

Overall, the 124th Foundation Day celebration reminded everyone of the strong spirit of unity and school pride within the ISNHS community. Events like these not only celebrate the history of the school but also create lasting memories for students. Through teamwork, cooperation, and participation, the celebration became a meaningful experience that strengthened the bond among students and teachers

Fourth Quarter Reflection

The fourth quarter was full of meaningful lessons that helped me grow academically and personally. One of the topics that stood out to me was research defense tips, which helped me understand how to confidently present and explain our research. Since I am currently working on a research project as a Grade 10 student, these tips were very helpful in preparing for possible questions and organizing our ideas clearly. It made me realize that research is not only about gathering information but also about explaining and defending it properly.

We also studied topics related to pagkamamamayan, sekswalidad, and El Filibusterismo. These lessons helped me understand more about our responsibilities as citizens and the importance of respecting people’s identities and rights. Reading parts of El Filibusterismo also reminded me of the sacrifices and struggles during the Spanish colonial period, which gave me a deeper appreciation for our history and freedom.

Aside from social topics, we also learned several academic and technical lessons such as HTML front page creation, diodes in electronics, deciles in statistics, and chemical equations in chemistry. Learning HTML allowed me to understand the basics of creating a webpage, while studying diodes helped me see how electronic components work in circuits. Deciles helped me interpret data better in statistics, and chemical equations helped me understand how substances react with each other. Overall, the fourth quarter gave me valuable knowledge and skills that I can use in my studies and in the future.
