The fourth quarter was full of meaningful lessons that helped me grow academically and personally. One of the topics that stood out to me was research defense tips, which helped me understand how to confidently present and explain our research. Since I am currently working on a research project as a Grade 10 student, these tips were very helpful in preparing for possible questions and organizing our ideas clearly. It made me realize that research is not only about gathering information but also about explaining and defending it properly.
We also studied topics related to pagkamamamayan, sekswalidad, and El Filibusterismo. These lessons helped me understand more about our responsibilities as citizens and the importance of respecting people’s identities and rights. Reading parts of El Filibusterismo also reminded me of the sacrifices and struggles during the Spanish colonial period, which gave me a deeper appreciation for our history and freedom.
Aside from social topics, we also learned several academic and technical lessons such as HTML front page creation, diodes in electronics, deciles in statistics, and chemical equations in chemistry. Learning HTML allowed me to understand the basics of creating a webpage, while studying diodes helped me see how electronic components work in circuits. Deciles helped me interpret data better in statistics, and chemical equations helped me understand how substances react with each other. Overall, the fourth quarter gave me valuable knowledge and skills that I can use in my studies and in the future.
